Joan Kenerson King Consulting

As you gather with me around the metaphorical “table” of my consulting services, you receive the full benefit of my creative, individualized, and experienced approach to your system challenges.
The 3 goals of each consultation engagement are:
- Identification
- Advancement
- Sustainability
Specifically, we work together to:
- Identify the desired change
- Advance the desired change
- Identify new areas for change
- Build internal capacity to sustain the change momentum over extended periods of time.
How it works:
- I carefully assess hopes and dreams, strengths and challenges, openness to risk, and limitations on change with each client.
- Together we craft the criteria for success of the consultation engagement, including regular assessment checkpoints
- I design appropriate training and/or facilitated processes to:
- ignite the resources already existing in your system,
- create new opportunities for learning and development of those resources
- connect the “why change?” to the “how we will bring about change”
The results our partnership can produce
- Increased stakeholder knowledge of national trends, strategies for change and change management, and lessons learned from other successful system change efforts.
- Concrete action plans for the desired change, based in principles of rapid cycle change and lessons learned from other systems.
- Processes that:
- Increase staff buy in
- Identify resources in your system that you may not have been aware of: energy, talent and skills in your existing staff and in the community of people you serve
- People hearing, really hearing, others
- Shared expertise triggering new thoughts for others
- An activated community of people in recovery engaging alongside staff in designing plans for change
